Missions Potluck Scheduled - Wednesday, June 4th, 6:00 p.m.

Heritage will be fortunate, again this year, to receive one of the Missionaries traveling to the United States for our NACCC Annual Meeting. This year the itinerating missionary is Geoffrey Lipale of the Pilgrims Presence Ministry in Kenya, Africa.

Kenya has been in a political upheaval for the last few months.

We are looking forward to having Geoffrey with us for a potluck supper at 6:00 p.m. on June 4th and hear him tell us first hand about Kenya, his mission, and the current situation. Let's get a good turnout for this. Bring the children and a dish to pass! What a good way to learn about what life is really like in another part of the world.

Heritage in Verona Hometown Days Parade - Sunday, June 8th

We will be departing from Heritage at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 8th and get in line to parade through Verona. Everyone is able to participate, but all children are required to be accompanied by an adult. We will pass out candy and have banners promoting VBS and the Little Pilgrims' Christian Learning Center. Musical instruments will be available for those who wish to share their gift of music and we will also be able to sing at different points throughout the route. Be prepared to walk the 2 mile stretch and bring a water bottle for refreshment. If you are interested in decorating Pastor Cindy's truck before worship, please let us know. Quarterly Congregational Meeting - Sunday, June 29th, 11:45 a.m.

As you know, the Prudential Board is holding quarterly congregational meetings this year. After some quick updates about church business, we'd like to devote the bulk of the time at these meetings to spiritual discussions about the current and future role of Heritage Church in God's World.

Our first quarterly meeting in April was very well attended and included lots of good information sharing and thoughtful discussion on various church topics.

Our next meeting is Sunday June 29th, immediately following worship. Please plan on attending. I promise to keep the meeting brief so that we can all enjoy what surely will be a very beautiful summer afternoon.
